Installation days are our favorite days. With a little magic – and a lot of help from our installation partners! – we deliver fully finished spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional for our clients and their families.
To ensure the days go by smoothly, we pack the install bag into our cars for each installation. This bag is chock full of tools that help us solve every challenge we encounter and make the client’s experience seamless.
But what do we keep in the bag?
A trusted fabric steamer. Almost everything we’re installing is brand new, from custom draperies to performance fabric sofas. We want our clients to be able to enjoy their new spaces from the beginning, and a fabric steamer allows us to put that finishing touch on any fabric we’re working with.
Various sizes of felt pads. These pads are helpful in a variety of situations: protecting the gorgeous new floors, helping a chair slide out a little smoother, or lifting one side of a vase or side table to ensure everything is level.
Rug grippers help to smooth out the fresh, new rugs and add a layer of protection for our client’s families as they weigh down corners and prevent curling.
- Box cutters are useful in almost any situation. They help us open boxes of accessories, unpack custom pillows, or remove tags from furniture. In fact, we usually have more than one with us!
- A basic household tool kit. You never know when you’re going to need that hammer, screwdriver, or wrench! This essential tool kit has everything we may need to get the job done on installation day.
