Our New South Home remodel turned out better than I could have ever imagined. From the moment we begin, our process is centered around you. We take time to understand how you live, what you value, and what matters most in your home. Based on your inspiration, our team presents a detailed proposal that reflects your needs, priorities, and the customization you desire — giving you clarity and confidence before we move forward.
With your vision and lifestyle as our guide, we’ll create thoughtful layouts and custom style concepts for every room. Together, we’ll refine furnishings, finishes, artwork,and décor that align with your lifestyle through virtual or in-person meetings. Final selections are made during a personalized visit to our Design Studio, where you’ll experience finishes firsthand and review renderings of your space — ensuring every detail feels just right before we place orders.
Once your selections are approved, our team takes over — managing all ordering, tracking, inspections, and deliveries on your behalf. We coordinate trusted subcontractors for every installation detail, from paint to wallpaper to lighting. You’ll receive regular updates from us without needing to oversee anything yourself. After everything has arrived and been carefully inspected in our warehouse, we’ll schedule your install.
On Install Day, we bring your vision to life — overseeing deliveries, coordinating installations, and styling each space with thoughtful detail and personalization. Every element is placed with intention to ensure your home feels uniquely yours and exceeds your expectations. After your reveal, we manage any final touches, and with your permission, coordinate a professional photoshoot to beautifully capture your home for marketing and editorial features.
Client Onboarding and Initial Consult
Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
Every project begins with a personal touch. Your New South Home Design Team will visit your home to discuss the details of your project, including the scope of work, how your family will use the spaces, and your design inspiration. During this visit, we’ll also share initial ideas and recommendations tailored to your goals.
Following the consultation, we’ll prepare a comprehensive Scope of Work Proposal for your review. Once approved, our team will get to work reimagining your home with thoughtful care and precision.
Developing Your Customized Design Plan
Duration: Approximately 6-8 weeks
We start by creating tailored furniture layouts and style concepts for each room. These will be reviewed and refined during video conference or in our studio, ensuring we’re aligned with your vision at every step. As the plans take shape, we’ll present curated selections for furnishings, artwork, and décor in subsequent virtual or in-person meetings, dependent on your schedule.
When we’re ready to finalize the details, you’ll be invited to our Design Studio to experience finishes, fabrics, and samples firsthand. Together, we’ll finalize selections and review renderings of your spaces, complete with all chosen elements, to ensure you love every aspect of your custom design plan.
Project Execution
Duration: Approximately 3-4 months
With your design plan finalized, we take care of all the details. From placing orders and managing shipments to inspecting deliveries and coordinating subcontractors for installations such as painting or wallpaper, our design team handles it all.
Throughout this phase, we’ll keep you informed with regular updates on your project’s progress. Once all items are ready, we’ll reach out to schedule your Install Day—the moment our collaborative vision comes to life.
Installation
Duration: ½ day to 2 days
Install Day is where the magic happens. Our team will arrive with everything needed to transform your spaces. Working alongside our delivery partners and installation subcontractors, we’ll install, arrange, and style every detail to create an inspired, cohesive look.
Once complete, we’ll host you for a grand reveal tour, celebrate your stunning new spaces, and ensure everything is exactly as you envisioned.
Follow-Up
Duration: As needed
Even after installation, we’re here to ensure every detail is perfect. If any items require follow-up or adjustments, we’ll address them promptly and keep you informed every step of the way.
Additionally, our Marketing Manager may reach out to schedule a professional photoshoot of your beautifully designed spaces for our marketing, social media, or media publications (with your permission, of course).
