Designer Spotlight
New South Home is a Charlotte-based interior design firm that specializes in creating functional homes with unique style and architectural preferences. We partnered with Melissa to transform her Airbnb rental in Savannah, GA with Thibaut wall coverings, fabrics, and trims.
Q: What was your design inspiration?
A: I used our signature blue tone, fun pinks, and greens to honor Savannah’s bright colors. The Palm Botanical wall covering in the bathroom pays homage to the city’s coastal location.
Q: What was the starting point in your design scheme?
A: The Central Park wall covering on the entry ceiling had all the colors used throughout the home. The Galway wallcovering on the walls in the adjacent bedroom was a must for a Savannah home – the men on horseback and the filigree details perfectly honor the city’s history.
Q: How did you use trim?
A: I dressed the windows in most rooms in solid linen and colored tape. It is one of our favorite styles of draperies to add to our projects.
Q: Any design tips when doing a renovation?
A: We used a variety of blue shares to create a cohesive look, while incorporating different patterns, textures, and accents of green, coral, and pink to maintain a refreshing feel throughout the home.
